Write a poem about: Treasure

Not so much a cryptic map,

but small pieces of paper,

with very clear clues

leading the searcher onwards,

advancing to the next clue,

the next step in the hunt

for what lies at the ‘X’.

Not so much a chest of gold,

but small treasure,

in the form of a candy or trinket,

leaving the searcher excited

and seeking it out, again and again.

For when a grandfather

plays make believe

and “treasure hunt”

with his granddaughter

the treasure is both in

the finding

and in the seeking.
