“For the man and his wife the Lord God made leather garments, with which he clothed them.” -Genesis 3: 21
Directly after reprimanding Adam and Eve for Original Sin, God shows His extreme love and mercy by lovingly making them clothes.
Yes, there are consequences for sinning –they are cast out of the Garden of Eden, etc. But despite the fact Adam and Eve greatly sinned against God God does not stop loving them. In the midst of His anger he sowed love (and literally “sewed love”!) as He them “made leather garments” (some versions say “garments of skin”, others “garments of skins”).
Did Adam and Eve deserve to be shown such love after their disobedience? In humans terms we’d likely say “probably not”. But God’s ways are not our ways. And even when we fail Him he bends towards us and takes care of us. Adam and Eve hid from God, but God sought them out and then clothed them.
God is a loving tailor.
