Doing the daily readings. When this came up recently it really struck me and stuck with me:
“I will not reject anyone who comes to me.” -Jesus via John 6:37
Full verse: “Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me.” -John 6:37
It made me pause and think of pretty much all of humanity — and how every single person has the opportunity to know and grow in Jesus. And if someone, anyone chooses Jesus then they are in Jesus and in the Father. In my human-y think-y ways I could possibly judge someone and deem them as not being worthy of Jesus and His love. But I would be mistaken. I would be dead wrong. Jesus clearly says that if you choose Him then He chooses you.
What love!!! No matter who you are, what you’ve done, where you’ve been, any this-that-or-the-other thing it doesn’t matter to Jesus. He will not reject you.
Come to Jesus. Choose Jesus. Start living in Jesus. He welcomes you. He accepts you. He loves you. And in his love you do not have to fear rejection. You do not have to worry that you are not worthy or good enough. He will make you worthy and good enough. His love will hold you close and carry you to God our Father.
