Look At Me (You See Me God) – Inspired by Acts 3: 1-10
I am a cripple, from birth I’ve been lame.
I beg you, heal me from my shame.
I dare not enter this temple so pure –
Just give me some alms so that I can endure.
But you saw me begging, at the Beautiful Gate.
No gold, no silver – All you had was a gaze.
A gaze of love, of mercy so fine.
You gave me grace, joy so divine.
I look at you. I’m filled with healing.
I look at you. I’m filled with grace.
I look at you – I see your beauty.
You take the time to look at my face.
You offer me your hand. I give you mine.
I rise up – standing; drawing strength from the vine.
Standing, leaping. No longer in pain.
No longer begging, no longer in shame.
You see me God – all of my weakness.
You see me God – you offer me strength.
I see you God – in all of your glory.
I see you God – I hold your embrace.
You see me God – all of my longing.
You see me God – you look at my face.
I enter the temple I praise your name God!
God you’re the greatest! You filled me with love.
All it took was compassion, a moment of trust.
God how I love thee! You lift me up.
I look at you. I’m filled with healing.
I look at you. I’m filled with grace.
I look at you – I see your beauty.
You take the time to look at my face.
I look at you. I’m filled with healing.
I look at you. I’m filled with grace.
I look at you – I see your beauty.
You take the time to look at my face.
You take the time to look at my face.
