A few days ago I asked God “What do you want me to do for you today?”
He answered “Don’t do anything.” I was shocked – ‘That doesn’t sound right’ I thought.
And immediately following He continued: “Just Be.”
And then I thought about it… There is nothing He wants more than for me to just be with Him and for Him. If I approach it as though I am “doing” well that implies action and actions make us tired and when we get tired we will eventually stop because we can’t keep going forever.
But to be. Well that is much better! I don’t have to do anything. I don’t have to go and go and go and do and do and do and then get tired. Instead all God asks of me is to be. If in my being I am for Him – and He is my center, my focus, the leader of my being – then I will accomplish His will just by my being. I effectively “do” by just “being”. And when I “Just Be” then I never tire and I never stop because He created me to keep being for Him and with Him forever.
