Write the Poem: Fire

Like a box of matches the trees went up in flame.
A wildfire roared thru them.
Burned. Charred.
To earth again.
The heat intense; the fire raged.
Unstoppable. Uncaged.
The wind unleashed a storm of air; whirlwind affair.
In the path the fire took devastation was all that stood –
after the burn, when smoke prevailed.
