Feast of the Archangels – Michael, Gabriel, Raphael
John 1:47-51 Jesus says to Nathanael that he would see great things. “Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
Listening to WAOB they played a homily from Pope Francis about the Archangels — and how all ended with “el” which means “God” in Hebrew.
Michael – Who is like God
Gabriel – God is my strength
Rapheal – God has healed
Nathanael – Given by God
Angel – Messenger of God
