30 Days of Gratitude Challenge: Day 3
Before you go to bed tonight, write down at least one good thing that happened today. Pray on this, reflecting on the ways God took care of you.
I had my Faith Formation class last night (once a month the parents learn a lesson then teach their kid(s)). I left home before 7 and didn’t get back til 8:45. Turns out Ruthie cried the entire time and only stopped and fell asleep at 8:43.
Needless to say it was a very trying time for Ryan.
Nora was the sweetest. She got a slice of cheesecake (made by my mom-in-law) and put it on a plate, got a glass of water, and a Crunch bar (one of Ryan’s favorites) and placed them all on a tray. She had put it together to help make Ryan feel better since she knew he was having a rough time. She had just gotten upstairs to give it to Ryan when he stepped out of the room with Ruthie finally asleep. She’s 8 years old. She’s pretty special. …And if you read my Day 1 you’ll probably note that I typically forget to praise her for being so loving and thoughtful — because she does this kind of thing all of the time. I am so blessed to have such a sweetheart for a daughter! (Oh, and a pretty good husband too haha)
